This game was created in 3 months by Games Software Students as a collaborative project for a second year university project. This was our first real interaction with Unity and we are very happy with the outcome.

My jobs during the development of the game were:

- Game Mechanic Design

- Narrative Design

- Level Design

- Level Implementation

- Lighting Programmer

- Item Programmer

- UI Programmer

- Sound Programmer

- Music Composition

In the game, it is your job to traverse a dangerous world to collect the elemental orbs. There are various dungeons with their own puzzles and challenges, abandoned towns and forest groves to explore. I spent a long time trying to create a fun and sprawling overworld for the player to spend a long time walking through, with a few different biomes hosting their own monsters and scenery.

Each orb grants a new ability that needs to be mastered to progress through the respective dungeon. The fire dungeon teaches fire magic to light torches to unlock doors as well as dealing damage to enemies. The storm orb allows for quick jumps across large gaps and for evasion. The Water orb lets the user freeze water under their feet to provide a path across ponds and lakes. The Earth Dungeon lets you push previously immovable stones to uncover entrances or to fill holes in the ground.

For the final dungeon, all four of the orbs need to be utilised in unison in order to reach the end. The boss fight was unfortunately left unfinished upon submission, but the rest of the level is playable and is a great challenge to attempt.

The music and (some) sfx was made by me and is free to use if you wish! Credit is appreciated!

My colleagues who worked on this project were: Samuel Wort, Samuel Robinson, Neil Tubbs-Bates, and Lewis Rogers, and they each contributed greatly in the games production - thanks guys!
